🚫 Stop Sending Me AI Clones in the DMs

Something weird that’s popping up more and more on social media especially LinkedIn lately…

People are sliding into DMs with AI-generated videos pretending to be them. šŸ¤–šŸŽ„

You know the ones. Their face, their voice… but something’s off. It’s giving ā€œdeepfake sales repā€ energy.

ā€œHey there, Angeli! I wanted to personally connectā€¦ā€ šŸ™ƒ

Sorry I don’t want a video from fake you.

If you didn’t take the time to record a quick message—or even type one out yourself—why should I believe you care about connecting with me?

I’m not anti-AI. I teach lawyers how to use AI responsibly.
I build businesses on AI. I love this tech. But I also know this:

šŸ¤ Authenticity still wins.

When your outreach starts with an AI clone of your face and voice, it doesn’t feel innovative.
It feels inauthentic. Lazy. Even creepy.

Here’s what it really signals:

āŒ You didn’t care enough to show up.
āŒ You outsourced your credibility.
āŒ You missed a real chance to connect.

šŸ’” Want to stand out? Try this instead:

šŸŽÆ Record a real video if that’s your thing—unedited, 60 seconds, just you.
šŸŽÆ Use AI to help research and personalize—then speak in your actual human voice.
šŸŽÆ Or just write a thoughtful DM. That still works, too.

AI should help you move faster—not make you faker.

So next time you’re about to send that synthetic avatar out into the world, ask yourself:

šŸ‘‰ Would I send this to someone I admire?
šŸ‘‰ Would I feel good receiving this from someone I trust?
šŸ‘‰ Would this make my grandma proud?

If not… don’t send it. Just be real.

šŸ’Æ Because in a world full of AI clones, authenticity is your superpower.
